In Iceland, the highest amount of governmental COVID-19 financial support to individuals in 2020 was given in April. That month, the government allocated almost nine billion Icelandic Krona to people affected by the pandemic. The numbers then decreased, and remained relatively stable around one billion Icelandic Krona for the remainder of the year. Accommodation and food services was the industry that received the highest share of financial support.
