Hospitality operators around the world have increased their focus on health and hygiene as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. As of June 2020, a global survey was conducted to determine the share of hospitality operators who changed standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cleaning rooms in their hotels. The majority of respondents, 79 percent, reported having changed SOPs for cleaning rooms in their hotels, while 21 percent of respondents said they had not changed their SOPs.
