Unemployment rate in Morocco 2012-2021, by area of residence
As of 2021, the unemployment rate in Morocco was highest in urban areas, standing at 16.9 percent. On the other hand, the rural unemployment rate reached five percent, down from 5.9 percent in the previous year. In comparison, the overall employment rate in the country reached 39.1 percent in 2021.
