Opinion on imposing a two percent COVID tax on the wealthy in India 2021
According to a 2021 survey conducted by the Fight Inequality Alliance in India, 78 percent of respondents agreed that select companies and wealthy individuals should pay a two percent COVID-19 tax in order to generate more funds for social services. Survey respondents believed companies that made extra profits during the pandemic as well as individuals earning more than 20 million Indian rupees per year should be subject to the tax.
