Access to drinking water in Tanzania 2015-2020, by residence
As of 2020, nearly 89 percent of Tanzania's urban population used at least basic water drinking services. Among Tanzanians living in rural areas, access to drinking water was more limited, with the coverage reaching some 45 percent of the population. Compared to 2015, access to drinking water in the country improved.
