Number of teachers in primary schools in Iceland 2000-2021
In Iceland, the number of teachers in primary schools has grown since 2000, with a drop between 2008 and 2011. While there were 4,229 teachers in the country in 2000, the number was 5,702 in 2021. The pupil to teacher ration was 8.7 in 2021.
