Global unleaded premium fuel prices by select country 2020
The Netherlands had one of the highest prices for automotive unleaded premium fuel in 2020. That year, unleaded premium prices in the Netherlands exceeded two U.S. dollars per liter. Generally, gasoline prices were higher in Northern and Western European countries due to higher tax rates. By comparison, drivers in the United States paid 0.78 U.S. dollars per liter.
