Reasons for suicidal thoughts among adolescents South Korea 2022

According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2022, around 44 percent of middle and high school students who had suicidal thoughts in the past year cited academic problems as the main reason. Anxiety about the future and career followed with around 21.6percent. Suicide has been the leading cause of death among people aged 10 to 24 in South Korea since 2011.
