Latin America: young women's trust in online sources 2021

During a 2021 survey conducted among women aged between 15 and 24 years in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, and Peru, 54 percent of respondents said they usually trusted the information mainstream news media provides online. The shares of female teenagers and young adults who trusted celebrities, politicians, and religious or community leaders online stood below ten percent.
