U.S.: planned time to start holiday shopping 2021
Most people in the United States planned to start their 2021 Christmas shopping sooner rather than later. 20 percent of respondents had even already started their shopping when surveyed in May. The most popular answer was shopping over the summer, at 25 percent. However, shopping in spring was only two percentage points behind, and October to November was also a popular answer with 22 percent. This resulted in an even spread of people who were planning to start their holiday shopping from spring through to November. Only three percent of people intended to start their shopping as late as mid-December.
