During a 2021 survey conducted among women aged between 15 and 24 years in Brazil, 46 percent of respondents said online disinformation made them feel stressed, worried, or anxious. Approximately 38 percent of the interviewees stated that online fake news led to an argument or confrontation with their friends or family.
