Relative poverty rate among the elderly South Korea 2012-2020
In 2020, the relative poverty rate of people aged over 65 years in South Korea was 40.4 percent. Although the poverty rate has declined in recent years, nearly half of the elderly population live in poverty - the highest rate among member countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
