Population access to sanitation facilities in Angola 2010-2020, by type
As of 2020, over 19 million people in Angola had access to septic tanks, which were the most common sanitation facility in the country. Sewer connections were available to around 4.2 million individuals, while some 400 thousand used improved latrines. Since 2010, more people annually gained access to septic tanks and sewers, whereas the prevalence of improved latrines diminished.
