In 2023, approximately 20 percent of Canadians expected to spend more on Thanksgiving when compared to previous years. In contrast, about two-thirds of consumers in Canada planned to spend roughly the same as usual. In Canada, Thanksgiving Day falls on the second Monday of October, which is over a month earlier than Thanksgiving in the United States.
