Access to modern contraception in Europe 2020, by country
Access to modern contraception relies on multiple factors such as affordability, availability, and information. In 2020, Western and Northern Europe had mostly good access to contraception, whereas the access was more limited in Eastern countries. With scores exceeding 90 percent, Belgium and France had the highest scores of access to contraception during that year. Poland, on the other hand, had the lowest European score where access to contraception was very poor.
