From January to early October 2023, Tencent was the highest-grossing mobile app and mobile gaming publisher in the Asia-Pacific region, with more than 4.8 billion U.S. dollars in revenues. The Shenzhen-based tech giant is the publisher of popular Chinese social media QQ, as well as the internationally famous gaming app PUBG. TikTok Pte Ltd was the second highest-grossing app and game publisher in the region, with more than 2 billion U.S. dollars in revenues generated from TikTok, one of the most popular apps they operate with ByteDance Technology. NetEase ranked third with over 1.5 billion U.S. dollars in revenues.
