
U.S. car dealerships' electric vehicle sales readiness index score 2019
As of 2019, car dealerships in the United States were mostly unprepared for the sale of electric vehicles. Out of 14 sales criteria, auto dealers recorded index scores above five in only five. Car dealers were particularly prepared to point out special electric vehicle subsidies or offers, with a score of 9.3. By contrast, they lagged behind when it came to knowing about charging costs or the total cost of ownership of electric vehicles.
