In 2019, Algeria was the North African country with the highest mobile broadband subscriptions per 100 inhabitants, reaching a penetration of 96 percent. Tunisia followed with around 78 percent of the population having an active subscription to mobile broadband. The lowest share was registered in Sudan at 37.9 percent.
