Countries in Africa with the highest costs of receiving remittances 2021
In 2021, Benin was the country in Africa with the highest costs incurred on remittances received. Charges on a value of 200 U.S. dollars of remittances received in the country amounted to 21.4 percent of the sum transferred, on average. Angola and Botswana followed, with 19.1 percent and 17.8 percent of the transfer amount, respectively.
