Annual costs for treating four major STIs among women in LMICs in 2019
In 2019, around 129 million U.S. dollars were spent in direct costs on treating four major curable STIs among women aged 15 to 49 years in low- and middle-income countries. It is estimated that annual direct costs would need to significantly increase to 835 million U.S. dollars if all STI treatment needs for women in low- and middle-income countries were met. This statistic illustrates the annual costs for treating four major sexually transmitted infections among women in low- and middle-income countries in 2019.
