Reasons why art collectors buy art worldwide 2021

A May 2021 report involving art collectors worldwide investigated some of the motivating factors behind art purchases. According to the results, roughly two-thirds of the collectors answered that they bought art to build a collection. Meanwhile, more than half of the survey sample claimed they purchased art to decorate, making it the second most popular reason to buy art.
