Number of immigrants to Iceland from EU countries 2013-2020
The number of registered immigrants from EU countries to Iceland increased considerably from 2015 to 2017. While there were 3,000 registered immigrants from these countries in 2015, the number had more than doubled by 2017. By 2020, the number of registered immigrants from the EU countries had decreased to 4,600, a number that must be seen in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the United Kingdom leaving the EU. The total number of registered immigrants in Iceland rose sharply from 2015 to 2017.
