According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2023, about 33 percent of wage and salary earners said they had taken advantage of the flexible commuting option, up slightly from about 31.7 percent the previous year. While the share of workers using flexible commuting options has declined, the share of those working from home or remotely has increased sharply in the last two years.
