Above-the-line health and non-health sector fiscal measures for COVID-19 India 2020
In 2020, India contributed respectively 0.4 and three percent of its GDP (gross domestic product) to above-the-line additional fiscal measures for both health and non-health sectors in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the source, these measures included spending on health infrastructure, care packages, as well as financial and necessity support for workers. Meanwhile, the global spending on above-the-line additional health and non-health sector fiscal measures amounted to respectively 1.2 and 7.8 percent of world GDP in 2020.
