Number of visits to national museums in Wales 2009-2023
Attendance at national museums in Wales bounced back in the 2022/2023 fiscal year, following a sharp decline with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. After falling to 66 thousand in the 2020/2021 fiscal year, the number of museum visits totaled 1.3 million between April 2022 and March 2023. Despite the sharp increase, this figure remained below pre-pandemic levels.
