Share of internet users buying on e-commerce platforms in Mexico 2021, by generation
As of the second quarter of 2021, Generation Z internet users, defined by the source as those between six and 20 years old, showed the highest e-commerce penetration in Mexico. According to the study, 87 percent of Mexican online users in this age range had used e-commerce platforms. Hot on their heels were Millennials, with 85.8 percent of users reportedly shopping through this channel.
