Share of deprived households in India according to NSSO-71 and NSSO-75, by dimension
According to the National Sample Survey 71th round (NSSO-71) and 75th round (NSSO-75), the majority of households in India were deprived of primary healthcare, with respectively almost 83 percent of households reportedly deprived in insurance coverage. Meanwhile, the share of households deprived in each respective dimension seemed to have declined over the years. However, a noticeably large share of households remained deprived in the standard of living dimension, such as cooking and sanitation, as well as in income.
