Decisions on asylum applications from children in Iceland 2011-2021
The number of children in Iceland who had their asylum application accepted increased over the last decade. Whereas only five were accepted in 2014, 80 were accepted in 2021. Moreover, the number of applications rejected fluctuated, with more than 100 in 2016 and 2019, but but only 30 in 2020. In 2021, a total of 150 asylum applications from children were processed in Iceland.
