Attitudes of U.S. social media users toward influencers public personas 2021
According to a survey of social media users aged between 16 and 34 years old in the United States, as of April 2021, approximately 48 respondents felt uniquely drawn toward social media influencers who they perceived as 'real people.' By comparison, respondents who reported feeling drawn only by celebrity influencers were approximately one in 10. Overall responses highlighted how 36 percent of social media users surveyed reported feeling engaged by both influencers categories.
