Japan: share of correspondence delivery services by size

As of March 31, 2021, most correspondence delivery businesses owned assets worth 10 million to 100 million Japanese yen, accounting for around 71 percent of providers.
Reforming its postal services in 2007, Japan introduced permits for corporations to engage in designated segments of the correspondence delivery business on which the public administration formerly had a monopoly.
