10-year bond yield in Australia 2010-2023
Investors have received lower and lower returns on 10-year bonds issued by the Australian government between 2010 and 2020. Peaking at 5.79 percent in March 2010, the yield on 10-year bond yields fell to a low of 0.83 percent in October 2020. Since then, yields have increased again, reaching 4.02 percent as of August 2023.
