Australian treasury notes' outstanding value as of April 2022, by maturity
As of April 29, 2022, there were 28 billion Australian dollars worth of treasury notes issued by the Australian government. Treasury notes are fixed income financial instruments similar to bonds, but they have a maturity date of less than one year. They therefore count as part of the money market (rather than the capital market), and are used by the government to raise short-term funds.
