E-commerce as share of total apparel sales in Europe 2018-2025
The COVID-19 pandemic gave online apparel sales in Europe a significant boost. E-commerce accounted for 40 percent of all apparel sales in 2020, 12 percentage points higher than the previous year. As consumers adapted to the new normal, a slight decline was inevitable in 2021. Forecasts indicate that the online segment has come to stay and will continue to grow in the coming years.
