U.S. adults who have a favorable opinion of Mark Zuckerberg 2021, by age group
In light of recent controversy surrounding Facebook, a November 2021 survey of online adults in the United States found that the majority of respondents held an unfavorable opinion of Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Overall, 38 percent of respondents in the 65 years and over age group reported that they had a very unfavorable opinion of Zuckerberg, and 31 percent of respondents in the 45 to 64 age group held the same opinion. In contrast, nine percent of those in the 18 to 34 year age group and ten percent of the 35 to 44 year age group reported having a very favorable opinion. In late October, Facebook restructured and rebranded itself as Meta while announcing a strategic shift towards the metaverse, a virtual reality project.
