Sweden: online platforms used for instant messaging 2022

According to a survey of Swedish internet users conducted between the end of January and February 2022, 87 percent of respondents reported have using SMS to chat or exchange instant messages in the examined period. Using Facebook Messenger appeared to be the second most popular method to chat, with more than six in 10 respondents reporting to use the social media platform. Approximately 36 percent of users reported using WhatsApp to exchange instant messages.
