Remittance flows as a share of GDP in North Africa 2021, by country
Remittances accounted for around 4.7 percent of North Africa's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2021. The highest economic contribution was registered in Morocco and Egypt, where remittance flows stood at around eight percent of the country's GDP. On the other hand, the lowest GDP share was recorded in Algeria and Mauritania.
