The majority of Japanese consumers were aware of the Japanese Agricultural Standards for organic foods as revealed in a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in September 2023. Around 73 percent of respondents knew the domestic certification for organic foods, whereas the EU-certified organic food label was the best known overseas certification.
