Organic and natural products are popular among many shoppers, but not all consumers see the difference between organic or natural and mainstream products. A 2021 survey of Canadian consumers showed that 18 percent believe that organic or natural food and drink is a gimmick and that they do not differ anyway from mainstream products. 38 percent of consumer do report believing that natural and organic products are healthier than mainstream products, though.
