Diners choosing U.S. restaurants because they have diet-specific food 2020, by age
In December 2020, the share of consumers in the United States who said the availability of diet-specific food options, like vegetarian or gluten-free, on restaurant menus would influence their decision to choose one restaurant over another varied by generation. Millennials were the most likely to dine out at restaurants with diet-specific food options, with 18 percent of respondents stating that this was the case.
