Ireland: impact of cyberbullying on children 2020, by age group
A study conducted in Ireland in October 2020 asked children and teenagers who had experienced cyberbullying how it made them feel. Overall, 54 percent of respondents in the eleven to twelve year age group and 52 percent of those in the 15 to 17 year age group said that they felt fairly or very upset following an incident of online bullying. Half of nine to ten year old respondents reported feeling the same. Additionally, 42 percent of those in the ages 13 to 14 year category said that they felt a little upset. Furthermore, only one in five respondents said that they got over the cyberbullying straight away.
