In 2023, the largest share of retail investments in France went into shopping centers. In that year, approximately 1.1 billion euros of the total 2.9 billion euros invested in retail real estate were allocated to shopping centers. Although retail properties are a popular asset class among investors in France, offices accounted for a much higher value of commercial real estate investment.
