Construction tenure of hotels India 2021, by market positioning
A survey conducted in 2021 on the construction tenure of all hotels in India averaged to around 42 months. While the average construction tenure for upper upscale and luxury hotels were the longest with 51 months both, and the maximum construction tenures for upper mid-market and upper upscale markets were among the longest with 144 and 117 months respectively. These longer durations could be attributed to the time taken for acquiring funding and statutory licenses including building permissions and approvals.
