Japan: Tankan business sentiment index among financial institutions 2024

The Tankan survey, conducted from February to March 2024, revealed that the Diffusion Index (DI) of financial institutions in Japan evaluating their business conditions stood at 26 points.
The Tankan survey stands for the Short-Term Economic Survey of Enterprises in Japan. It is conducted once in three months with the aim of providing an accurate picture of the business trends of enterprises in Japan.
