
Time spent watching TV and over-the-top content in the U.S. 2021
As of June 2021, nearly three quarters of TV viewers in the U.S. watched subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) services. The average viewing time amounted to over five hours per week, making it the most popular over-the-top platform type. In comparison, over half of U.S. TV viewers watched ad-supported video-on-demand (AVOD) services, with an average weekly viewing time of about half that of SVOD viewership.
