An October 2021 survey investigated the gender distribution of the board and management staff in museums funded by Arts Council England (ACE). According to the study, 57 percent of all managers working for the surveyed organizations in England were female. Meanwhile, around 52 percent of board members were male. Overall, 0.1 percent of the surveyed museums' board and management staff identified as non-binary.
