Share of carbon neutral orders on Digitec in Switzerland 2021, by canton

An internal survey released by Galaxus, owning the marketplace Digitec, showed that only one in ten online orders placed by Swiss customers compensated for produced carbon dioxide emissions. However, there were notable differences between cantons. Digitec's shoppers in urban areas like Basel and Zurich seemed more willing to be charged extra for carbon-neutral orders. In this chart ranking the 'virtuous' cantons, roughly 12 percent of online orders from Basel were carbon neutral.
