According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in November 2023, over 71 percent of the respondents aged above 55 years stated that they would shop both online and in brick-and-mortar shops. Meanwhile, more than 32 percent of respondents aged between 16 and 24 stated that they would only shop online. The same survey revealed that the most popular items among Indian holiday shoppers in that year were consumer electronics, and apparel and footwear.
