Per capita carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in Tanzania 2000-2020
In 2020, Tanzania emitted 0.18 metric tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) per capita. The volume of emissions per person slightly decreased from 0.21 metric tons in the previous year. Since 2000, it has fluctuated but overall increased. That year, Tanzania contributed 0.08 metric tons per capita to CO2 emissions, the lowest amount in the period observed. Currently, the country has one of the smallest carbon footprints in Africa.
