Willingness to try alternative proteins in Japan 2021
The largest share of Japanese consumers showed interest in alternatives to animal proteins as revealed in a survey conducted in October 2021. While around 30 percent stated that they were somewhat interested in the consumption of alternative proteins like plant-based foods and cultured meat, another 17.3 percent declared that they wanted to drink or eat such products.
