Percentage of indigenous people living under the poverty line in Peru 2005-2022
Peru had, in 2022, almost 20 percent of the indigenous population living in poverty, thus representing a decrease of 2.3 percentage points compared to the previous year. Furthermore, over a fourth of afro-descendants in Peru lived under the poverty line as well.
